As part of Week 2 of our VR AI Academy journey, we had the great pleasure of hosting Davide Viglialoro from Norwich Business School as a guest speaker during our European School of Economics in Rome session.

Davide brought a wealth of academic and practical experience, offering a clear and compelling overview of the startup ecosystem and its key players.

đź’Ľ Innovation, Incubators, and Investment

In his session, Davide guided us through the different stages and structures that support startup growth, including:

  • The role of innovation in shaping scalable business models

  • How accelerators and incubators support early-stage companies

  • The dynamics between angel investors, venture capitalists, and entrepreneurs

  • What academic research tells us about startup success and failure

His talk provided a strategic perspective on the startup world and offered realistic advice for anyone looking to navigate or enter the ecosystem.

🌍 Bridging Academia and Entrepreneurship

Davide’s session stood out because his ability to bridge academic theory with real-world entrepreneurial insights made the content accessible and relevant for students and early-stage innovators alike.
